Spa Sleepover Party & Scale Success

This weekend couldn't have gone any better! Party plans were finalized and the birthday girl was in heaven... for three days straight! Must be rough when you have a Thursday birthday, Friday sleepover and Saturday party for your weekend plans. She really was one happy girl though!

So, the spa turned out PERFECT!! Robes fit great, the girls were pampered and pumped full of sugar and finally passed out around midnight! We started with dinner, then chocolate fondue, followed by Cupcake Wars - this turned out super cute. They all got three cupcakes to decorate however they wanted with the variety of frostings and toppings available. Their creative sides really shined through. Lots of giggles and lots of craziness was also included. After everyone was cleaned up we started the spa.

Our Spa Goodies

Each of the girls got their own robe, flip flops, emery board, wine glass and containers for lip gloss and foot soak to add to their take home bag. We started with the foot soaks - complete with their own personalized soaking salts made from Epsom Salts & Essential Oils (4-5 drops of the desired flavor per 1/2 cup of salt worked for us). We wrapped up their hair and put on peel-off facials and handed out cucumbers. Oh the giggles!! Sticky faces while the facials dried and cucumbers that kept slipping off their little faces...

Don't mind the mess behind this one! LOL Little Sister HAD to be included!

After soaking and peeling they each got a mani/pedi, we made homemade lip gloss and then I wrapped their hair much like I did for the girls for the 4th of July.

It's so easy to do and the girls loved it! I also enjoyed playing with the longer hair of the other girls! They were all so patient. Meanwhile, they watched the movie Home in the background, which honestly couldn't be any cuter. There was finally silence by about five minutes before midnight! No fear though, they were up by 6:15am the next morning. I was one tired mama, but they were all still smiling and giggling, so I couldn't be too mad. I did send them out to jump on the trampoline around 8am to burn off a bit of the leftover sugar though.

The early alarm from the girls' giggles meant it was time to get started on yet another party! This time I had to decorate the cake - thanks Pinterest - and prep the food. We had a delicious summertime spread complete with brats and hot dogs. It was a great summer birthday party... kids jumping on the trampoline, Dad manning the grill while we all sat around chatting with friends and family. Definitely a Happy Birthday!

The Birthday Girl & Her Cake

Oh the cake!! I don't think they get any richer than that! I had a tiny bite. WHEW!! Loved by all though. The birthday girl was in absolute awe when she saw it. She hadn't put in a cake request this year, so this was all the adults baking and making. Definitely a Pinterest success!

Soo Pretty!!

I had a couple BLT's (Bites, Licks & Tastes) over course the birthday extravaganza (after the big birthday dinner which I indulged in), but I also made sure there was always a good option for food out for everyone - whether it be fruit, homemade salsa and blue corn chips, or another snack! My best friend has Celiac Disease and was happy to be at a party where she could participate in the food fun! I told her next time I'll be sure to make a dessert she can enjoy too!

All that fun and I'm absolutely wiped out! Emmy Lou came up to me on Sunday and said she had the BEST BIRTHDAY EVER! Mission accomplished! Today I stepped on the scale to check the damage and I'm down to the next number on the scale with just four pounds to go before MY birthday in 4 1/2 weeks. Yup... It was a very successful weekend of fun!
