Three Month Post-Op Update!


It’s a little hard to believe that it has already been 3 months since my gastric sleeve surgery. So, that means it’s time for another post-op update.

First update… I’m down 31 pounds overall, and over 41 inches across my entire body. I’ve lost over 7 inches from my waist and almost 6 inches from my waist! That means I’ve gone from a tight size 20 to a comfy size 14 in three months.

Second update… my medical team says I’m doing great and they are very happy with my progress. We discussed my hunger shortly after meals and they agreed that I should increase my calories a bit more – 1400-1500 is apparently not too much. It sounds insane to me, since I gained on 1400-1500 calories before I had 20% of my original stomach size! But I promised to give it a try and see how it goes, especially with plans to increase my work out schedule.

My typical day looks like this, hoping that we can decrease the growlies, because let’s be honest I shouldn’t be THAT hungry!!

Breakfast: Protein shake – 150 calories & 25-30g protein, or protein cereal (about the same amounts)

Snack: Built Puff Bar – 140 cal & 17g protein

Lunch: Berry & Yogurt Parfait – 260 calories & 24g protein

Snack: Sugar Free Candies x 2 – 360 calories & 4g protein (not always, but if I have a horrible sugar craving)

Dinner: Meat & Veggies of some sort – 300-400+ calories & 20+g protein

Snack: Treat of some type – 150 calories & 5-10g protein.
